Uses of Magic
Constellangels can wield a wide variety of magic, as they did in the old world. The potency of magic is purely based on their rarity. The harder a Constellangel trains to master their gifts, the more likely they are to ascend their traits. Magic is a constant reminder of the mistakes their ancestors made, so many Constellangels are careful to not rely on it too heavily - however there are some that disagree with this notion and fear that neglecting their magic will only breed weakness.
Due to the strain possessing magic puts on the soul, Constellangels are only able to master a few magic disciplines.
Healing/Imbuing Magic
In the right hands, this type of magic is exceptionally useful. Healers can mend wounds and create protective wards to prevent future harm. Knowledge of the extensive Biology of Constellangels and how the magic flows through them is essential to becoming a healer, and is a trait that is treasured and also dangerous.
Elemental Magic
Elemental mastery and ability to weave the forces of nature into a destructive force. Earth, Water, Fire, and Air are the primary elements - and those that most Constellangels wish to master. Although harder and requiring more magical finesse, some Constellangels can wield more than one elemental magic.
Necromancy
Not all souls are choosen to transcend into Constellangels. Some souls stay trapped and tangled in unrest between realms. Necromancers are able to harness the weariness of trapped souls and turn it into raw magic, and call upon the lost souls to do their bidding
Animancy
The Manipulation of any living organism is called Animancy. Constellangels can harness the power of plants, animals, and even other Constellangels. Some can create life out of minor spirits like Astellions, or split their life force to create more powerful beings such as golems. This magic also extends to mind manipulation and blood magic and is viewed as one of the more controversial magics.
Space and Time Magic
This is considered the most powerful and destructive. Users of this magic can manipulate time and space in ways such as speeding up, slowing down, stopping time. They are also able to shape space in whatever way they see fit - one of the most destructive being conjuring a black hole to level a battlefield. Constellangels wielding Space & Time magic must be of great talent and skill and are always under the close watch of the Zodiarchs. No Constellangel under the Legendary rarity has been able to wield this magic successfully - the strength of the soul must be able to withstand the heavy burden of manipulating time and space.
